Do you ever wear false lashes every day? Desiree Ayers is a Beautylish Creative Production Associate. She has been wearing strip lashes every day for the past 2 years. "It's addictive. Desiree said that wearing them is a great confidence booster.

In her quest to add depth and dimension to her natural eyelashes, she decided to include falsies in her morning makeup routine. Des claims that applying lashes takes less than five minutes, despite the daunting task of gluing strips to half-awake eyes.

Desiree shares her time-saving tips to achieve lash-altering results that last throughout the day, without lifting.

STEP 1: How do you prepare your false eyelashes for application?

Desiree's Tip: Measure your lashes according to the shape of your eyes first, then cut them to size. To prevent my lashes from lifting from the corners of my eyes I roll my lashes around a cylindrical object like a tubing mascara. This allows the lashes to adhere better to your lid curvature and makes them look natural.

STEP 2: What are the best methods for applying glue?

Desiree's Tip: I like using eyelash glues with Brush tip applicators. I can control how much glue I use, and where it is applied. It also makes it easier to apply glue. To avoid lifting during wear, I usually brush the entire lash line and add extra to the corners. You can apply a thin layer to your lash line with glue for a stronger hold.

STEP 3: How and when do you apply to your eyes?

Desiree's Tip: Apply the lash glue on both your false eyelashes. Let them dry for around 30 seconds. The band should be placed as close as possible to your lash line. Adjust the corners and then press down for about 5-7 seconds. Although tweezers are the best way to apply false eyelashes, I find that using acrylics or long nails is a better option.

STEP #4: How do I merge my natural and false lashes so they don’t separate?

Desiree's Tip: Allow the glue to dry for one minute. To ensure that both your natural and false lashes stay together, you can use mascara and lash curler. Give your lashes a gentle squeeze. To seal your lashes, use synthetic eyelashes. I recommend BADGal BANG Volumizing Mascara. This wand's bristles coat each eyelash with a bold look, even if you don't have false eyelashes. Avoid applying mascara to high-end lashes. Before you apply mascara, curl your natural lashes.

STEP #5 - Wait, what about eyeliner

Desiree's Tip: I have found that false lashes don’t stay in place if you apply liquid liner before applying it. If the lash base is not clean when it is applied, lifting is more likely to occur. This is why I prefer to apply my eyeliner after applying false lashes.
